Driving Tests
As you progress through the course your driving instructor will give you the information you need with regard to the DSA's
Theory/Hazard Perception Test & the Practical Test (which includes Show Me, Tell Me questions). They will advise you when to book your
tests and guide you through the process.
Test applications can be made by post, phone or on-line.
The
theory test was first introduced in 1996 to improve a new driver's understanding of the skills and responsibilities associated with driving.

The
Hazard Perception Test consists of fourteen one-minute video clips filmed from the pespective of a car driver. The candidate has to confirm, usually by clicking
the mouse, when they observe a developing
hazard.

Candidates are required to answer two questions regarding car maintenance and operation.

The
Practical Driving Test will last for up to 45 minutes and will include a range of typical road and traffic conditions.
